I use cross-multiplying on these two numbers. Each digit I get I put into set objects that I visualize beside my computer. I use the Dominic O'Brien images for 0 thru 9 (I think.)

The DOW button generates this example:

The first line is a randomly generated date for me to figure out the day of the week of.
The second line is a randomly generated ordinal number (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) and a randomly generated day of the week. This challenges me to figure out the date for that day in the current month.
The third line is the answer to the first line.
